Trying out new techniques

Hello everybody! Today I made a card within 10 minutes and used two new techniques on it :)

I'm entering it for these challenges;
- Lawnscaping; use a new technique - I embossed on acetate for the first time and colored the griffin with Tim Holtz Distress Markers
- Pretty Pink Posh 10 min. Craft Dash: It took me 9 minutes and 32 seconds to make this card.

Here it is:

A closeup for the embossed effect and coloring:

I used the Critters ever after set from Lawn Fawn. The dies are from Lil' Inker Designs.
Thanks for visiting my blog!

Starting to knit again...

Today, I want to share a shawl which I made. I really enjoyed making it and I like the effect of the ruffles. It didn't take me as long as I thought...I think it took about three and a half hours.

Here it is:

My Winter Wonderland Card:

And here a closeup, all the better to see...my textures! ;)

Now, I used two sets from Lawn Fawn: Critters ever After and Making Frost Friends. And now, to my textures:
  • First of all, I used some white flock on the Unicorn and castle.
  • Glossy Accent on the castle windows, door handles and Unicorn hooves
  • Flower Soft for Snow
  • Ribbon
  • Stickles on the snowflakes and on the snow for hills
  • And last but not least glitter for the leg warmers. Actually, they're from the earmuffs from Making Frosty Friends :)
Hope you like my card! TFL :)

Robot Birthday

Hello again, this time I made my card for these challenges:

- Paper Smooches: Pink - I just LOVE this color, so I made a girlie robo
 - Moxie Fab World: Happy Birthday - This card is for another friend's birthday... ;)

Here's my robo:

I used the street light "bulb" from Hang Ups for its head and the eyes were also from this one, the body is from the cake in Hubby and Wifey and the neck is from a glass in the same set. All these sets are from Paper Smooches.

Leafy Mandala

Hello everyone! I made this card for the WCMD yesterday, but I didn't get to post my cards because I went babysitting. But now, here's my card which I'm entering for these challenges:

- Paper Smooches: Pink and one layer - This card has got just 1 layer and I used pink glitter.
- Moxie Fab World: Happy Birthday: I made this card for my friend's birthday, which is in the fall, hence the leaves

My card:

I used the leaf from the Gently Seasoned stamp set and then I "colored" my mandala with glitter. After finishing my card, my whole face was full of glitter...lol :D
The sentiment is from Party Posse. Both the sets are from Paper Smooches.
Thanks for dropping by and I'll be back with another post!
